Under the name KÖNIGSKINDER, Deutsche Wohnwerte is developing the neighbourhood centre with a high diversity of uses. After completion, which is scheduled for the end of 2024, there will not only be 123 residential units, but also various commercial offers that will enrich life in the neighbourhood. The first commercial anchor tenants have now signed their contracts.

On a total area of 2,200 square metres, REWE is settling in as a local supplier and will certainly become a centre of attraction for the people in the neighbourhood. In addition, the traditional regional bakery Görtz is opening a 230 square metre branch on the corner of Völklinger Straße and Geschwister-Grünbaum-Straße. Located on the newly created neighbourhood square, Chisinauer Platz, this invites visitors to stop in and linger. Outdoor seating is also planned there.

Weinheim-based hulii Kinderbetreuung GmbH will operate the day care centre. The facility offers 1,260 square metres of indoor and 940 square metres of outdoor space and thus sufficient room for a total of seven care groups from the age of 2 months until school entry. Thus, the new day care centre is designed for more than 100 children.
