Positive conclusion at the end of SPINELLI NOW!

After more than eight months, SPINELLI NOW! has now come to an end. The five freely accessible SPINELLI exhibition pavilions in public spaces and the exhibition space in Völklinger Straße were well received.

During BUGA 23 alone, 162,645 people used the "Parkschale Käfertal entrance" to see the SPINELLI NOW! pavilions. The exhibition was also very well received by urban development experts: around 450 specialists from local authorities, professional associations and planning offices were given expert tours of the MWSP to learn about the special urban planning features of SPINELLI.

The exhibition pavilions highlighted the topics of urban development, architecture, ecology, mobility and social infrastructure and posed the critical question of the extent to which "business as usual" is still the right approach in these areas today. The stations provided innovative answers to the most pressing questions of urban development, which MWSP is driving forward for a future-oriented Mannheim. The focus is not only on the new district, but also on the added value for the entire city.

Sustainability was also the overarching theme in the implementation of SPINELLI NOW!: the themed pavilions were based on a stanchion system that will continue to be used after dismantling.
